In the VIP Room on the first floor of Xintu Building on April 20, Xu De, Secretary of the CPC of our University, met with a delegation led by Kim Seungho, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai in the morning of April 20.

Consul General Kim Seungho received a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks from Xu De for his visit to our university and for making a keynote speech. He hoped that Kim Seungho would connect with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai, recommend certain high-level Korean colleges and universities, and aid in-depth educational cooperation between the two sides in the fields of discipline construction. He also hoped for mutual visits between teachers and students, cooperative schools, and so on, to jointly expand the broader space for developing education and culture between China and the Republic of Korea.

Kim Seungho expressed gratitude to Suqian University and Xu De for their invitation, lauded our successful university running experience, and looked forward to promoting the spiritual connection of university students between the two countries. He also discussed the university running system and funds with Xu De.

After the meeting, Kim Seungho gave a memorable speech entitled “The Intersection of the Two Centennial Goals and the New 30 Years Between the Republic of Korea and China” to the representatives of teachers and students of our university. He reviewed the friendly exchanges during the speech, looked forward to the bright future, and had a cordial and close interaction with the university students.
