Our university hosted theadoptionand release ceremony for the school motto on the morning of October 30. More than 130 leaders, teachers, and students attended the activity, including Xu De, Secretary of CPC of our university, Liu Zhiyuan, President of our university, and other leaders.

The university motto, “To be virtuous, knowledgeable and practical” is a high generalization of the university’s running philosophy, governance spirit, and cultural heritage, as President Liu Zhiyuan pointed out. All teachers, students, and employees adhere to a standard code of conduct, ethics, and value pursuit.

President Liu Zhiyuan stressed that thedeclarationandadoptionof the university motto reflected the university’s development process in the past, present and future, and marked that the school will move forward in a new journey. It is hoped that all teachers and students respect, adhere to, and practice the university motto. They make the university motto truly become the spiritual driving force for the university’s high-quality development and motivate everyone to achieve continual progress by giving full play to the function of the university motto in knowledge education, cultural education, and practical education.
