According to the List of the Projects Supported by the China National Arts Fund in 2020 (General Projects) released on the website of the Management Center of the China National Arts Fund, the watercolor painting titled “People’s Friends,” was approved by the fund. This achieved the university’s zero breakthroughs in having a project supported by the China National Arts Funds. “People’s Friends” is an art creation project declared by Professor Zhang Youqiang of the Preschool Education Department of the School of Arts and Sciences at Suqian University.
The China National Arts Funds, founded on December 30, 2013, is a non-profit foundation approved by the State Council. It helps boost the development of artistic creation, cultivate artistic talents, create and promote excellent creative works, and facilitate the healthy development of national art undertakings. The China National Arts Fund, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Social Science Fund are the three most significant scientific research fund projects of discipline construction established by the Chinese government. Furthermore, they are the top funds for supporting cultural and artistic creation and artistic talent cultivation in China. A total of 628 projects were approved this year, with a comprehensive approval rate of about 5.7%.
