On the afternoon of March 23, the 2021 Grade Opening Ceremony of JD School was held in the lecture hall of Qiusuo Building, during which more than 120 toys of the JD mascot “Joy” were seen waving in the hand of the students. Attendees included the heads of relevant departments of JD Group, and Ding Hongyan, vice president of Suqian University and director of JD School.

Ding Hongyan delivered the opening ceremony speech. She vividly retrospected the rapid growth of JD School due to the joint efforts of the university and JD Group since its reform. She looked forward to the promising future of students’ study and practice at JD School. Ding Hongyan also pointed out that the strategic university-enterprise cooperation between the two sides was an important part of the university’s “Three Connections and Three Integrations” campaign and “Ten Spark Programs,” as well as one of its big moves to deepen production-education integration. The physical operation of JD School is of great significance in building a high-quality personnel cultivation platform through university-enterprise collaboration and bridging the gap between the training of applied talents and the demands of enterprises in relevant industries. She proposed that the other schools in the university should follow the path of the construction of JD School while exploring ways to improve talent training quality through in-depth and seamless university-enterprise cooperation.

Since its inception in September 2020, JD School has enrolled 283 students for the 2020 and 2021 grades in four undergraduate majors of three secondary schools.

Heads of relevant functional departments, secondary schools of the university and the student representatives of the 2021 grade of JD School attended the opening ceremony.
