On the evening of June 25, a variety show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Suqian University with the theme of “Building Dreams for 20 Years and Forging Ahead Together” was held grandly in the gymnasium of the university. A large number of important figures watched the show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Suqian University, including the existing university leaders (Guang Hua, member of the Standing Committee of Suqian Municipal Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department, and Xu De, Secretary of the Party Committee of Suqian University, and Liu Zhiyuan, president of Suqian University), former university leaders, leaders and teachers participating in the program of eight universities aiding the construction of Suqian University, representatives of teachers and students, alumni representatives, and people from all parts of society.

The show began with a performance to review the great milestones of the university in the past 20 years of arduous and struggling efforts. The show was divided into three parts. The first part, “building dreams from original aspiration,” told the three-year history of the university’s development into a 10,000-people university, its successful application to be an undergraduate university after ten years of effort, and its transformation into a provincial public university at the age of 18. The second part, “pursing dreams with ingenuity,” narrated the arduous and rapidly developing journey of the university. The final part, “realizing dream with a common vision,” told the rebirth story of the university through innovation, along with the educational reform in China.

The show was held both online and offline, which attracted widespread attention. Nearly 150,000 users watched the live show via network
