On the afternoon of June 17, the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the School of Arts and Communication of Suqian University held a video conference on joint school-running with the Chugye University for the Arts of South Korea. The venue was the lecture hall on the first floor of the library. In attendance were Xu Quan, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department; Xu Xiaomei, foreign affairs consultant; Shao Shide, deputy director of the School of Arts and Communication; Quan Xinghai, vice president of Chugye University for the Arts; Seongryo, head of the International Studies Department, and Jeong Hyeonju, director of the International Administration Department.
Mr. Xu Quan presented a speech at the conference on behalf of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department. He momentarily introduced Suqian University’s situation and its exchanges and cooperation, emphasizing that the institution places significant prominence on, and is keen to cooperate with Chugye University for the Arts. Professor Xu Xiaomei on the other hand, talked about the issues concerning both sides for the “3+1” joint school-running program carried out by the two universities. Also, Shao Shide briefly introduced the situation with the Music Department of Suqian University.
Meanwhile, the vice president of Chugye University for the Arts, Quan Xinghai, also revealed his keenness in cooperating with Suqian University. He stated that the conference was a great start for future cooperation in all respects and hoped each side would sign an MoU and an agreement on joint doctoral programs at their next video conference. The two sides finally agreed that they would jointly promote the joint school-running program to produce fruitful results as soon as possible.
