In order tolet internationalstudentsimprove their awareness ofChinese culture,feel the charm oftraditional Chinese festival,better understand traditionalChinese culture, and tellbetterstoriesabout China, on September 9th,the Office of InternationalCooperation and Exchangeof Suqian University invited21 international studentsto attend thecultural exchangeeventthemed by"Reunitingon Mid-Autumn Festival, AppreciatingChineseCulture" inRoom 1206, No. 1Teaching Building.
Chinese participants of the event includeTong Maodi, Vice-Principal, Xu Quan, Deputy Director of theOffice ofInternational Cooperation and Exchange, and allstaffof theOffice ofInternational Cooperation and Exchange.
First of all, Tong Maodi,Vice-Principal,extended warmestwelcometoall international studentscomingto SuqianUniversityfor further study, andexpressed his expectations on international students, i.e.1)Cultivatingthe feeling of "knowing China,being friendly toChina,andloving China",and aimingto be aFriendshipAmbassador topromoteinternationalexchanges between China and foreign countries;2) Disciplining,followingCOVID-19prevention and control policies as well asrules and regulationsof Suqian University;3) Working hard toimprove knowledgeand broaden horizon.After the speech,Mr.Tonghanded overmoon cakegift boxes to 21 international students.Then,Xu Quan, Deputy Director of theOffice ofInternational Cooperation and Exchange, used five differences to encourage international students toquicklyadapt to life and study in SuqianUniversity.Last but not least, Yuan Junjie, universitycounselor,explainedthe Mid-Autumn Festivalfromorigin, legendandcustoms, helping international students better understand thefestival and traditional Chineseculture.
