“Enterprise-owned logistics refers to a logistics company wholly owned or controlled by an enterprise engaged in e-commerce...” On the afternoon of November 7, more than 20 international students were listening attentively to the teacher of Introduction to E-Commerce in the Classroom 2109 of Teaching Building 2. Xu De, Secretary of the CPC Suqian University Committee, and Vice President Tong Maodi also sit in on the class, hoping to get some idea of interesting e-commerce together with overseas students.
“Do you miss your family? How often do you contact them? Any difficulties in life?” After class, Mr. Xu De had a face-to-face exchange with students. The students said they were impressed by a great many qualified teachers and excellent accommodations when enrolled at the university. As freshmen, they have felt more at home and happier on campus. They also exchanged views on practical training and practice, extracurricular activities and course examinations.
Mr. Xu De had high expectations for the students. He emphasized the importance of learning and advised them to be assiduous in study, make achievements and strive for a bright future. Students should develop an awareness of fire safety and food safety, turn to counselors in time for help, and be active learners. Mr. Xu De also suggested that the departments concerned put more effort into management and services and give a strong support to overseas students’ two-year study at SQU.
Since the first international students were admitted in September of this year, Suqian University has paid close attention to the education and training of international students. By holding a full range of featured educational and practical activities for international students and keeping track of their living and learning needs, SQU keeps improving service management and talent cultivation efficacy. The students promised that they would study hard and accomplish excellent results to repay the university’s care and support.
