In order to inspire international students' enthusiasm for learning Chinese, improve their Chinese writing skills, deepen their experience of Chinese culture, and feel the beauty of Chinese writing, theDepartmentof International Cooperation and Exchange will hold a calligraphy competition for international students in the cultural series of "Study Abroad, Experience China".Specific arrangements are as follows:

Allinternational studentsare welcome to participate.
Requirements
1.The competition includes two groups: hard-pen calligraphy and soft brush calligraphy. Each student can only join one group.
2.This competition is divided into preliminary round and final round. The preliminary round does not specify the content, and the final round specifies 8 Tang poems (see attachment).Calligraphy teacherswillguide and train the participants before the competition.
3.The works should be legible, neat and standard. Students can havetheir own writing style.
4.Write theChinese name and nationalityof the participant at the bottom of the works.
5.No substitute writing is allowed in this competition. Once it is found, it will be disqualified.

Works appraisal and awards
1.The appraisal is carried out respectively in two groups: hard-pen calligraphy and soft brush calligraphy.
2.Based on the principle of fairness, justice and openness, the appraisal includes two parts: public appraisaland teacher appraisal. The awards will be issued according to the total scores of the two parts.
3.Each group has 2 first-prizewinners, 3 second-prizewinners, 5 third-prizewinnersand several participation-prizewinners.
4.The award will be exhibited bytheDepartment ofInternational Cooperation and Exchange.
