I. Introduction to Suqian University（SQU）

Located in Suqian with 5000 years history, the national civilized city, Suqian University (SQU) is a provincial public full-time university with higher education. From 2002, SQU cooperate in undergraduate education with eight provinscial universities. In 2014, with approval from the national ministry of education, it became an independent undergraduate university. From 2018, SQU has had the right of authorizing bachelor degree with approval from the evaluation of provincial academic level office. Since its establishment, it has been awarded “Civilized institution of Jiangsu Province” for many times. It has won many honorary titles, such as “Advanced Institution of Ideological and political Education of Jiangsu Province”, “Advanced University of Excelling in Competition of Jiangsu Province”, “Model University of Safe Campus of Jiangsu Province”, “Advanced University in Archives of Jiangsu Province”, “Advanced School in Physical Education of Jiangsu Province” etc..

Suqian University has nine schools and one Department of Sports Education with enrollment of more than 14800 undergraduates, offers 43 majors covering nine disciplines, engineering, literature, science, art, education, management, economics, law and agriculture. There are more than 260 person-time have been selected into various talent-engineering projects.

It covers a campus area of 888,000 square meters, with more than 365,000 square meters of the combined floor area of classrooms and dorms. The library covers 1.6 million paper-books and 1.05 million E-books. SQU has 11 experimental centers, over 131 labs. The value of total fixed assets amounts to 1.17 billion Yuan. And the total cost of teaching facilities reaches about 130 million Yuan.

The mode of study is full-time and the duration is 2 years. SQU implements a two-semester system a year, namely, the spring and autumn semesters. The autumn semester is from September to January of the following year, and the spring semester is from February to July.

IV. Application Requirements

1. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport. The original citizens of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (before April 30 of the enrollment year) (Actually living abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures)

2. Applicants shall be new graduates with excellent academic performance at the junior college stage, passed all the couses and met the graduation requirements of the junior college.

3. Applicants must obtain HSK Level 4 or above.

4. Applicants must be over 18 years old but not over 30 years old, physically and mentally healthy, and well behaved.

5. Applicants should voluntarily abide by Chinese laws, regulations and school rules and regulations, know China and love China and have not been subject to any disciplinary action or criminal punishment.

6. For those who fail to obtain a diploma on time, the “Upgrading from Junior College Student to University Students” qualification is automatically canceled.

V. Application Procedure and Admission

Qualified students package the application materials and send it to the email: admission@squ.edu.cn (or application onlinehttps://squ.at0086.cn/)→ school review → attend school interview (or video interview) → issue pre-admission notice → pay the accommodation fee within the specified date → issue formal admission notice and “Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China” (JW202 Form) (Mid-March to June 15) → Registration at the school at the specified time (September each year, the specific date is subject to the admission notice)

VI. Application materials

(1) Application Form for International Students of Suqian University.

(2) An academic transcript in the former junior college with the official seal of the Academic Affairs Office;

(3) Proof of no violation of school discipline issued by the former school and proof of graduation on schedule;

(4) A health certificate;

(5) A Copy of HSK certificate;

(6) Copies of the front page of the passport and the residence permit page.

VII. Scholarships and grants

1. The scholarships for the International Students of Suqian University are divided into the first, second and third classes.

The amount of first-class scholarship: tuition fee (RMB 13,000 /academic year) + living allowance (RMB 1,000 /month).

The amount of second-class scholarship: tuition fee (RMB 13,000/academic year) + living allowance (RMB 800/month).

Amount of third-class scholarship: tuition fee (RMB 13,000/academic year) + living allowance (RMB 600/month).

2. After enrollment, students can apply for on-campus part-time job while studying at school and can get an annual stipend of 2000-3000 yuan.

3. Scholarship awarded students are required to refund all the amount of scholarships they received to school if they transfer to another school for personal reasons.

4. Students with outstanding performance in the school can also apply for the Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarship and the International Student Scholarship of the School of International Education of SQU every year.

VIII. Fees for Studying at SQU (RMB)

1. Registration fee: 300 yuan/person

2. Tuition:

Communication Engineering: 15,000 yuan/person/year

Mechatronic Engineering: 15,000 yuan/person/year

3.Teaching materials: 800 yuan/person/year (paid after registration)

4.Comprehensive medical insurance: 600 yuan /person/year (paid after registration)

5.Medical examination fee: 300 yuan/person/year (paid after registration)

6.Visa fee: 400 yuan/person/year (paid after registration)
